Unsilenced Majority Statement On Lt. Col. Lohmeier’s Firing

WASHINGTON – Mike Davis, founder and president of Unsilenced Majority, today released the following statement regarding the firing last week of Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Lohmeier, commander of 11th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado. 

“Lt. Col. Lohmeier’s firing is a pretext to silencing disfavored views within the Biden administration rather than a legitimate response to a patriotic officer exercising his First Amendment rights. Lt. Col. Lohmeier was informed that his book did not require preapproval – so why would his free speech otherwise require approval? The Pentagon’s top brass showed their hand by labeling anti-Marxism as partisan politics. After fighting a 40-year Cold War and defeating communism in Europe, opposing Marxism should be a universal American value. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin should immediately reinstate Lt. Col. Lohmeier. Unsilenced Majority stands ready to defend Americans who find themselves the victims of cancel culture.”
